M. Lawrence (Larry) Gevedon passed away at the age of 67 after a brief illness on 2/16/2026. Born on April 20th, 1958 in Mount Sterling, KY to Carolyn Gevedon Wood and Millard Lee Gevedon (who precede him in death), he would later attend the University of Kentucky for Pharmacy School and Medical School. He finished his residency in Anesthesia at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Throughout his long career, he worked in Lexington, KY; Reno, NV; and Las Vegas, NV. He worked hard through his life to provide for his family and was beloved by many whom he worked with.
Larry was a loving father and husband. He married Mary Ann (Brady) Gevedon on May 19, 1984. His first born, Alexander Lawrence Gevedon, is married to Kayla Little Gevedon and has two children, Marin and Annallee. His younger son, T. Maxwell Gevedon, is married to Bethany Hernandez Gevedon.
Known as “The Big Man” to many of his friends, Larry is perhaps best known for his sense of humor and his infectious smile. He had many passions in life, especially sports and music. He has been a lifelong fan of the Kentucky Wildcats, Boston Red Sox, and Pittsburg Steelers, as well as a passionate supporter of the Vegas Golden Knights. He had a wide variety of music genres he loved, as evidenced by his vast collection of vinyl records and CDs. Rock, Folk, Jazz, and Country were some of his favorites. He loved sharing his passion for music with others too, making playlists for coworkers, family, and friends.
There will be a visitation at Bosse Funeral Home on Ellison Ave starting at 10 am on March 27. He will be interred at Calvary Cemetery afterwards. As an alternative to flowers, consider donating to the Save The Music Foundation in Larry’s honor.
