Mabel Frances Genereux

Mabel Genereux passed away at the age of 93 on October 15, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born on July 16, 1931, Mabel was the vibrant and energetic fifth child among her fifteen siblings, sharing her early years with four sisters and ten brothers.

Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice A. Genereux; her son-in-law, Lionel Raposa; and her grandson, Christopher Barnes and her great-great grandson, Myles Whitaker.

She leaves behind a loving family: daughters Laure Raposa and Denise Bento; son-in-law Lenny Bento; grandchildren Donald McShane (Honi), Misty Lee Terrill (Guy), Olivia Scott (Joseph), Michael Raposa (Linda), Jennifer Lawson (Christopher Cipalone), Erin Escobar (Lucas), and Leo Bento (Colleen Casperson); along with fourteen great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Mabel found joy in babysitting her grandchildren, quilting/sewing, gardening, and solving word searches. These hobbies offered her great comfort and were a channel for her to share love and wisdom with her family.

Visitation followed by a service to honor Mabel's life will be held at 10 a.m. on October 22, 2024, at Palm Mortuary, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89129.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Mabel's memory to a charity of your choice, celebrating her spirit of giving and community support.
