Mae Jean Blair Hailey

Mae Jean moved to San Diego, California in 1943, to later relocate to Los Angeles, California where she met and married Alec O. Garland (deceased) and of this union, two sons were born, Philip and Richard Garland.

She worked for the Metropolitan Insurance Company for many years. She then became employed with the Los Angeles Police Department for a short time. Mae Jean then transferred to Harbor UCLA Medical Center as a Hospital Social Worker.

Mae Jean then met and married George W. Hailey (deceased) who was her soul mate. They loved to travel and take long last minute road trips along the coast line and several cruises. Mae Jean decided to retire at age 57. She and George relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1992, where she became bored with retirement and decided to become a crossing guard for a couple years.

Mae Jean passed into eternal life on April 13, 2017 at 2:15 am. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons Philip A. Garland and Richard Garland, daughter in law, Denise Garland, grandchildren, Philip Garland Jr., Elizabeth Nicole Garland, and Kayla Garland, and a host of nieces and nephews
