

She was born 02 November 1931 in Malmoe, Sweden to parents Lars and Judit Karlsson. At age 20, she went to Paris, France where she met and married her first husband, Jean-Claude with whom she had two children. After a divorce, in 1962, she met and later married her second husband Bill Wolfe, with whom she moved to the USA in 1963 and a year later had a third child.
Maja received a teaching license for Montessori schools while living in Atlanta, Georgia. Later she continued her education and earned a Bachelors degree in psychology at Kent State University while living in Ohio.
She worked at a psychiatric facility in Arcadia, Florida before finding her passion for teaching as a Montessori instructor and later founder of a Montessori school, which she ran for over 20 years. In 2000, she sold her school, retired and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to be with her eldest son.
Maja loved good food and socializing, enjoyed listening to music and doing exercises with friends; she had a wonderful smile which will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her three sons; Claude, Erik and Willy and several grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Alzheimer's or other dementia related charities or foundations.
