Malcolm attended the University of Virginia on scholarship to play football, but a serious injury prematurely ended his career. After returning to Detroit, he met and married Venetria D’Vonne Miller on March 26, 1992, his wife of twenty-eight years. They settled in Las Vegas, Nevada and have called the community home for more than 20 years. They are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Brooklynn Rose McCaster and Ciara Tamia McCaster.
Malcolm was multitalented. He had an unmistakable love of music and singing, Luther Vandross was his favorite singer. It was common to hear him singing while cooking or working to secure the curbs and roadways at McCarran airport. His other talents included decorating, DIY home projects, and helping friends. Malcolm’s most outstanding talent was taking care of his girls. He mastered messy buns, ponytails, and coordinating outfits.
Malcolm passed away at the age of 58 on January 25, 2021. He is survived by his wife Venetria; daughters Broolynn and Ciara; Mother Mattie McCaster; his siblings Belinda McCaster, Maurice McCaster, Melvin McCaster, Sherry McCaster-Loury, Sheila McCaster, and Tammy McCaster. His mother-in-law E. Jean Bell. Also, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Malcolm was preceded in death by his father Milledge McCaster Sr, and his brother Milledge McCaster Jr.
