

Manuel Prospero, 80 years of age, moved to Las Vegas May 4, 2015. He lived most of his U.S. life in Illinois. He passed away April 6, 2016 at Centennial Hills Hospital after a 2 month battle of complications of diabetes mellitus, heart disease and renal failure.
He was born July 23, 1935 in Manila, Philippines to Jose and Maria Prospero . He married Bella Tolentino at the age of 30, resided in the Philippines and moved to the U.S. in 1976.
He graduated Doctor of Medicine in 1961 from Manila Central University. He practiced in the Philippines until he moved his family to the U.S. He became head of Respiratory Therapy of South Shore Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Four years later he put up a Home Health Agency and Durable Medical Equipment Company.
His hobbies included playing golf and the piano, socializing with friends and dancing. He also enjoyed a wide variety of food.
He is survived by his wife Bella, two sons Emmanuel and Josemari and one daughter Clarissa. Funeral services will be held at Palm Northwest Mortuary April 19, 2016 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. He will be laid to rest in Palm Northwest Cemetery in the Heritage Mausoleum.
