Mikey & I are grateful that Ninong Marco and Ninang Tessie said yes to being godparents at our wedding in 2021. We were so happy to have them at our wedding post covid. Ninong Marco - thank you for treating me like one of your own daughters since high school and dropping me off home whenever you picked up Sarah from school. I will always remember those short rides home and taking Sarah and me to places before we could drive. You were definitely a fighter, thank you for all you did while you were here. Hope you’re enjoying heaven now :)

I may not have many personal memories with Uncle Marconi since our family has always lived in the Philippines, but I know that he was a very generous and caring uncle to the family.

I remember way back when I was a child that every Christmas season, there would always be aguinaldos and gifts from him, even though he was living far away in the US. Despite the distance, he never forgot about his family/relatives. He would always check on his brothers and sister in the Philippines, making sure they were doing well and okay.

From the way he cared for his family, I can truly say that Uncle Marconi was a warm, kind, and family-oriented person. His generosity and thoughtfulness will always be remembered, and I’m grateful to have been one of the many people who experienced his kindness.

I also remember, around 10–15 years ago when I was still in college, that whenever I saw my father having a video call with Uncle Marconi, he was most of the time jogging while they were talking. It’s a simple memory, but it has stayed with me all these years. I even before said that “Tumatakbo na naman si Uncle Marconi? Hindi ba ang init?”. So, in my memories, even though I didn’t know him that well, I will always remember him as “the uncle who loved to jog.”

It’s hard to accept that you’re no longer with us, but we find comfort knowing that the memories you gave us will never fade. You may be gone from our sight, but you will always have a special place in our hearts.

Our hearts are deeply saddened by the passing of Uncle Marconi. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend whose kindness, strength, and love touched so many lives. We will always cherish the memories we shared with him and will never forget the impact he made on our family.

To Auntie Tess, Sarah, Christine, and the entire family, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We pray that God surrounds you with His love, peace, and comfort during this difficult time. May He give you strength in the days ahead and remind you that Uncle Marconi’s love will always remain in your hearts.

Though we grieve his loss, we also celebrate a life well lived. We are grateful for every memory, every laugh, and every moment we were blessed to share with him.
