MARGUERITE ABBOT: THE CANDLE THAT LIT SO MANY
Death is a price we all will surely pay one day but it continuously take us unawares leaving a painful scare in our hearts whenever it strikes. Marguerite, your death took me by surprise indeed and left me asking, ‘why do the good ones go early?’ After much reflection on the above question, I could only conclude that the Lord needs the good ones early while giving us great opportunities to emulate their values and legacies.
Marguerite, you were a candle that lit so many bringing more illumination to the world. You lit other candles through your smiles, generosity, encouraging words and physical presence when necessary. When I arrived at St. Bridget’s Church Las Vegas last year August, it took me just a few weeks to encounter you. Your unique and endearing personality cannot be unnoticed. Your humility is worthy of emulation and your daily participation in the Holy Mass is inspiring. You were always concerned about how I am doing especially with the fact that I am miles away from my family. I will forever treasure the little time I came to know you. You fought a good fight of faith and it is my prayer that the Lord who you served faithfully will be merciful and bring you to the joy of eternity. You are not just a light that shone brightly but you lit so many candles. Adieu Marguerite.
Fr. Faustinus Okeyikam, MSP
Administrator, St. Bridget Las Vegas.

Aunt Margie, You were the hip aunt who always had fun an smile on her face. When you heard how my godmother wasn’t in my life you offered to become mine an i was so happy to have you. I’m going to miss you so much that life won’t be the same because a little bit apart of us will always be missing. I love you!

Margie and I would spend time talking about our childhood memories. We would laugh so hard over the antics we did as children some of which we wondered how we ever survived them. She was a wonderful sister and I will miss her. Jimmy Garcia

It's your time to play amongst the angels. You will truly be missed here on Earth by all your friends and family.
Dave met her at work and made a long time friend.
Hollie loved spending time with you and all the conversations. Sara enjoyed your grandmotherly, gentle voice and kind thoughtfulness.
Rest, our sweet friend.
