Maria Lourdes Rivera Arceo, lovingly known to her family and friends as Malou, was born on May 14, 1970, in Pampanga, Philippines, to her beloved parents, Guido and Julieta Arceo. She passed away on August 22, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Malou was a truly kind and cheerful person whose warmth could brighten any room. She was very talented and creative, with a joyful spirit that touched everyone around her. Above all, she loved her family deeply. She had an incredible memory for birthdays and knew the birthdays of her family members by heart—a beautiful reflection of how much each person meant to her.
Malou found happiness in the things she loved most. She enjoyed coloring and designing and took great pleasure in expressing her creativity. She loved to read, especially traditional teen magazines, and was a devoted fan of Aaron Carter, collecting books, pictures, and memorabilia related to the singer she admired. She also had a special love for the color pink, which perfectly suited her bright, cheerful personality.
Malou was preceded in death by her parents, Guido and Julieta Arceo.
She is survived by her beloved siblings, Augusto, Consuelo, Evelyn, George, Felician Isagani, Karla, Oliver, and Querubin, along with her many cherished nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Malou will forever be remembered for her kindness, cheerful heart, creativity, and unwavering love for her family. She brought joy through the little things—a thoughtful remembrance, a birthday never forgotten, a shared laugh, a favorite color, or something she had lovingly created. Her presence was a gift to those who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Palm Mortuary - Cheyenne, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89129, US, on September 17, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Committal Service at Palm Northwest Cemetery, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131, US, on September 17, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
