Maria “Angie” Palomino, 93, of Las Vegas, passed from this life at Mountains Edge Hospital on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017. She was born in Los Angeles, CA on Sep. 13, 1923, to Jose M Palomino and Maria Contreras. After having received her bachelors degree in sociology from Cal State University Northridge, Angie was employed at City of Hope and the American Cancer Society as a Social Work Assistant, helping the Spanish-speaking community as they received medical treatment. She was a most compassionate caregiver in this role. Prior to this, she worked in the news business in Mexico and as a research librarian. Survivors include a brother, Charles, of Las Vegas, and numerous nieces and nephews. Angie was preceded in death by her parents, her son Kevin McCann, and her husband Avrahim Bromberg, and her cat, Reggie. A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11 am at Palm Mortuary, 4200 W Cheyenne Ave, Las Vegas NV, 89129.
