Maria V. Saldana

Maria V. Saldana passed away peacefully at home on June 1, 2016 at the age of 90. She was born on June 26, 1925 in Sonora, Mexico but was raised in Los Angeles, California. She was employed at a potato chip manufacturing plant from 1962- 1972 and work in housekeeping at St. Francis Hospital in Los Angeles from 1972-1980. Maria had become a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada in 1980 and began working for Sunrise Hospital in housekeeping until 1987 when she had retired. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincente and Refugio Vidal; and her husband, Joaquin Saldana; her children, Gina Cardenas and Victor Saldana; and her three siblings, Lily, Connie, and Hector Vidal. Maria leaves to cherish her memory: her four children, Martha, Robert, Ernie and Nora; twenty-two grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a brother, Alvado Vidal. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 9th at 11am at Palm Mortuary South Jones, 1600 S Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146.
