Marie M Morishita

She was 83 years old. She was born in Stockton California and is survived by her loving husband of more than 62 years and her 2 sons Derek and Christopher, daughter-in-law Cassie and granddaughters Jillian and Shaina and 3 great grandchildren.

Mo and her family were sent to internment camp in Rohwer Arkansas where they lived for 3 years. Following their release from Rohwer, her family moved to Chicago where she completed her high school education. She moved to Los Angeles in 1958 with her good friend Joanne Higashida and worked for the city of Los Angeles. She met her husband Dick, who was in the Navy in 1959 and she was married in Las Vegas in August of 1960. Her husband Dick started working for the airlines and was offered employment in Saudi Arabia where Mo loved living. One of the perks of working for an airline was the travel benefits which they took great advantage of and were able to see most of the world. She really enjoyed visiting Japan and Australia.

A memorial service for Marie will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Cheyenne Mortuary, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89129, followed by a reception from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
