Armanda and I (Carlo) were sad and shocked to hear that Marijke passed away. We have fond memories of Marijke. She did so much for our family, especially for Armanda when she was pregnant of our first child. Armanda was nauseous for almost 9 month. Marijke helped out in many ways especially by coocking meals. Armanda could not stand the smell. Nothing was too much for Marijke, who also had a full-time job at that time.

We enjoyed her testimony and we talked about all kinds of gospel subjects. Marijke had a good sense of humor. 

The last time we met was when the family lived close to the Franfurt Temple. We were amazed about the children who could understand and talk Englisg, German and Dutch. An amazing  achievement for the kids but certainly also for the parents. 
We hope she had a good life.

Dave, you probably don't remember our family but we lived in Germany and were in the Landstuhl Ward with yours.  Marijke taught our daughters in seminary.  I want to tell you how much it means to me to have someone like Marijke to take so much time and effort to help us with our children.  They have turned out to be wonderful young mothers and seminary had a lot to do with that.  We really appreciate Marijke and are so sorry for your loss.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during their time of need.  We are sorry for your loss.  May your many fond memories of Marijke get you through your darkest hours.  And may you find all the support you need amongst each other.

Dave..My deepest sympathy goes out to your entire family. My memories with Marijke will last forever. She was my friend and sister. I will always cherish my time with her. One of my memories that will remain in my heart is the time we sat on the porch of the cabin in Holland, laughing about having to trek to the barn in the middle of the night. Dave & Family,

  Our deepest sympathy to you and the family. Our fondest memory will be last Thanksgiving when we spent the holiday with you. So much laughter and so much friendship was experienced.
