Marilyn Margaret Anderson born December 11, 1931, passed away December 11, 2018. A New Jersey native, she attended Roxbury high school and graduated from Mount St. Vincent College. She became a nurse and was the first nurse for the pediatric floor at the new St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, New Jersey. In 1955, Marilyn married Kenneth Roy Anderson. Ken was a World War II bomber pilot and later worked as a mechanical engineer for the Army Corp of Engineers at Picatinny Arsenal, Morris County, New Jersey.
They had four children: Sally, Patty, Glenn and Eric. Ken and Marilyn raised their family in (Jefferson) Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey which they called home until 1981. They moved to Chino Valley, Arizona and built their dream home on 45 acres. Later, they moved to Las Vegas. Marilyn's upbringing was a traditional one and her life was defined by her roles as wife, mother and homemaker. Marilyn was a devoted lifelong Catholic and donated to others who needed a helping hand. Through their entire married life, she and Ken were always up for an adventure, loved to travel, and they had many memorable trips.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Joan; parents, Elmer and Frances Mohrenweiser; sister Barbara Ann.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Ken; brother, Richard (Judy) Mohrenweiser; daughter, Sally (Bill) Ronalter; sons, Glenn (Tina) and Eric (Dawn); son-in-law, Kevin; twelve grandchildren, Becca, Jillian, Will, Sam, Kelly, Samantha, Shannon, Kristina, Max, Sidney, Aaron and Emily; six great-grandchildren, Lola, Murray, Leonard, Paige, Sophia, Anderson and Luca.
