

It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that on April 23, 2016 in Las Vegas, NV, the family of Marilyn Sue Halloran lost their beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother to medical complications in her battle to cope with Parkinson's disease. Her strength, smile, and beauty will always be remembered and missed by all who knew her. Her Lutheran faith in God and her devotion to her spirituality allowed her to move from this world onto a higher and more peaceful place without continued suffering. Marilyn leaves behind family and friends who are grateful to have had been touched by such a beautiful soul. Her life was a pursuit of helping others. She obtained a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitative & Mental Health Counseling from the University of Arizona. Her professional life focused on social work that allowed her to build a rewarding career and retiring after 22 years of service at the North Bay Regional Center in Santa Rosa, CA. She made so many wonderful friends throughout the years. Memorial services will be held at Fountain of Life, Lutheran Church in Tucson, AZ on May 13, 2016. In lieu of flowers, Marilyn’s wishes were to have donations sent to charitable organizations focused on helping others. Children’s Hospitals, the North Bay Regional Center (Sonoma county, CA), and Planned Parenthood were some of the organizations that were important to her.
