Mark Brocco was raised in Detroit, Michigan by his late parents, Anton (1989) and Mildred Brocco (1995). He attended Immaculate Heart of Mary School and University of Detroit High School before graduating from Benedictine High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Eastern Michigan University. Rather than pursue a career in law enforcement, he continued a career in beverage distribution which he had begun before college. Over the years, Mark worked for various companies including Seven Up, Pepsi, Coca-Cola and Heilman beer distributors in metro Detroit before moving to Key West, FL where he worked for Frito-Lay and Coca-Cola. Mark eventually relocated to Las Vegas, NV where he worked at Nevada Beverage, a Budweiser distributor, until his death on August 30, 2017. Mark loved sports and was an accomplished baseball and softball player. He was an early enthusiast of fantasy baseball, where he won championships and entertained the league with humorous newsletters. Mark is survived by his sister, Karen Brocco, niece, Amy Brocco, grandnieces Alyssa and Emma and preceded in death by nephew Tony Brocco. He is remembered fondly for his good humor, antics and gentle demeanor by numerous friends in Michigan, Florida, Nevada and elsewhere. Mark will be interred at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan. While in Key West, Mark endured several hurricanes. In light of current events, Mark's friends suggest donations in his honor to the American Red Cross.
