Martin David Ross was born December 21, 1951, in Los Angeles, California, to Alfred Ross and Reva Mae Ross. Martin was the second of two sons from this union. He is survived by his older brother, Arthur Maurice Ross. Martin was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, California, where he attended and graduated from Manuel Arts High School.
He met and married the love of his life, Rosalind Denise Wilson Ross, on September 26, 1981, at Avalon Church of Christ in Los Angeles, California. From their union, Martin and Rosalind were blessed with two children, Veronica Megan and Kesia Annette (Sean). Martin also had three children from a previous marriage: Kenyan Maurice, Martin David Jr. (deceased), and Wong Hoy (deceased). Martin worked at Lockheed Aircraft for many years until he was laid off. At that point, Martin moved his family to Las Vegas, Nevada where he was hired by the Clark County School District and worked for many years. Martin retired from the school district as a driving instructor. Martin spent his free time fishing, working on projects in the garage and falling asleep watching football. He loved being a season ticket holder and watching the Las Vegas Aces. He loved catching up with his friends and was always available whenever they needed assistance. He was the world’s best conversation starter and frequently made new friends wherever he went. He also seemed to have a knack for knowing everyone or knowing someone they knew in common. He loved playing slots and sharing his joy of the casinos. Martin had a strong work ethic, which he worked hard to instill in the people he worked with.
Martin leaves to celebrate his life, his wife of over forty-four years Rosalind, his son Kenyan Maurice, his daughters Veronica Megan and Kesia Annette (Sean), his brother Arthur Maurice and a host of other family and friends.
