Mary Millender, 70, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2016 with her children by her side. She was born September 26, 1946 in New Orleans, Louisiana and had been a resident of Las Vegas, NV since 1960. Mary retired for the Nevada test site as a telecommunication specialist. After retirement, she began a new career with the Clark County School District as a teacher’s aide in Elementary Education. She was preceded in death by her father, Allen Hays; and her brother, Allen Johnson. Mary leaves to cherish her memory, her loving children; Jason (Nicole) Glover; and Janelle Millender; grandson, Christian Millender; mother, Alberta Johnson; brothers, Samuel, Stanley, Earlist (Lynn), and Edward (Angela) Johnson; sisters, Mary Steele, Delores (Dwayne) Collins, Louise Brown, Joanne, Cynthia, and Roberta Johnson; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held in her honor on Saturday, October 8th at 11:00am at Palm South Jones Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146.
