I met Maryann through my job at WestCare Nevada in 1991. She was on our Board of Directors. She was such a delight to work with as she shared the same passions I held with taking care of the runaway, homeless, abandoned, trafficked or addicted youth we cared for. She always made them one of her priorities and would always ask me what she could do to help or what our program needs were. Maryann supplied us regularly with hygiene items, new bedspreads, blankets, gifts for the children, gift cards and financial support personally or through the Las Vegas Emblem Club #114. She enlarged her circle of care and concern to include all the pregnant women and teens by doing fun baby showers to recruit gifts for the mother's in need. Maryann was "my Angel" in so many ways. I have never met a more loving, caring women. She was a once in a lifetime friend. Our conversations would often reflect to her stating for God to wait until she got there with him to have a discussion about life. I hope she is having that discussion freely now. Thank you Maryann for all you did to welcome me to Nevada and mentoring me in so many ways. I will never forget your sense of humor and all the advocating you did for WestCare. I will hold you in a special place in my heart forever. Rest in Peace. Love you, Darlene Terrill WestCare Nevada
