Melodie Ann Nieves

Melodie Ann Nieves, 45, of North Las Vegas, Nevada, died Saturday, June 25, 2011. Melodie was born May 8, 1966 in Denver, Colorado. She was a casino Cage Supervisor. Melodie is survived by her husband, Louis Nieves II. Melodie and Louis have been together since 1993 and they married in 2005. She is also survived by her mother: Frances Christie; her two sisters: Dawn Dulaney and her husband Ronald, and Amber Brinton and her husband Keith; one brother: George McNamara and his wife Ruth: five sister-in-laws: Lawanda, Angie, Robyn, Donna and Amanda, and a brother-in-law: Keith. Melodie is also the favorite aunt to numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She was preceded in death by her father: James Christie; her bother: James Christie, Jr.; her father-in-law: Louis Nieves, Sr.; and her mother-in-law: Jean Nieves. Visitation will be held on June 30, 2011 from 3 pm to 7 pm at Palm Mortuary – Northwest at 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2011 at 10 am at Palm Mortuary – Northwest with a graveside service to follow at the Palm Northwest Cemetery. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
