

Michael was raised in Pico Rivera, California and Graduated from El Rancho High School in 1970. He married his high school sweetheart Mary Jane McKercher in 1972 and they were blessed with two sons.
Michael was an athlete and a lifelong sports enthusiast he enjoyed all sports specially football and baseball. Michael was a family man at heart, a true patriot and musician; he was a grilling aficionado and cook. “His sons and grandchildren are following in his footsteps in all respects”.
Michael was in his first band at the age of 13; he was a 2nd generation drummer performing until 1980 and was composing music with his best friend Gary for the last 20 years.
Michael worked as a teamster for Safeway in California then a Teamster at Luxor, Las Vegas and was voted ‘Simply The Best Employee Of The Month’ 4 times. He moved to Las Vegas in 1991, and retired in 2005.
Michael leaves behind his loving wife Mary Jane, sons Daryl M “Caron”, Sean E “Rachel”, five grandchildren Emily, Melody, Cynthia, Asia and Sean A, father Abelardo, sisters Jamie and Kathleen, brother John along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends who will also cherish his memory. He will be greatly missed by all including his beloved Pomeranian Tallulah.
Michael is preceded in death by his mother Rosie, sister-in-law Teri, nephew Thomas, and close friend Dennis.
A celebration of life for Michael will be held Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Palm Cheyenne Mortuary, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89129.
Following the celebration of life will be a committal service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Palm Northwest Cemetery, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131.
