I worked with Michael at Sunrise Hospital in the wound care department. We were Hyperbarics technicians. We meet while attending an EMT refresher course. I was joking around and Michael jumped right in the water. We hit it off immediately. He was running the Chamber at that time and invited me to come work with him at Sunrise hospital. We worked together for 2 years and it was a very rewarding time working with Micheal. I had the pleasure of knowing lil Porter. 
The world was fortunate to have such a human being.

Ed and Portia--I have been blest, because many years ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Michael at the McCarron International Airport terminal as he was there to meet you Ed. I hope that  you Ed and Portia can find some measure of comfort from the wonderful and very detailed memories that you both have revealed so lovingly and in so much  detail in Michael's biography and his obituary. However I know only your heavenly Father can grant you peace from your loss, and I recommend you reach out to God often in prayer as you experience Grief from this loss of your beloved son.

May the heavy pain of your loss be lightened by the wonderful memories from yesterday, the days before, and years gone by.   Remember the valleys, but treasure the views from the mountain tops.  In time, the sadness will pass.  Let the joy not the sorrow fill your hearts and lift your spirits.  Speak not, just smile and the world will understand.

Michael and I worked together in Starlight Express Bochum. He was such a nice guy. I feel sorry he passed away. My condulence for his family. World will miss him.

There was very special bond amongst the Rockies in Starlight. Michael was Rocky 2, when I was Rocky 3. Together with Martin Booth, Rocky 1, we shared an amazing time together. Michael was a phenomenal guy, such a calming spirit and always up for a laugh. He's joined Martin now and I truly miss these fantastic guys. The world lost an angel the day he left.

My god Michael and I met on the Wizard of Oz tour. Became my best friend. We were together in Germany at Starlight Express, and Las Vegas. He was one of the Original Smoothe Bros. I can't believe he's gone. An incredible person who was one of the best friends ever.

I met Michael doing Cats in Germany many years ago, so sad to hear about his passing. He was a powerful dancer and a fun  and generous person on and off stage.( I still have his recipe of how to make corn bread.)   My heart goes out to all the Kings family.

I recently found out about his passing. I can say that I was a small piece of his life and he is a giant memory in mine. Our paths crossed with "Starlight Express" in Las Vegas. My heartfelt sympathy to his family and all of his friends.

Dear Michael, You were a gem of a man, and your legacy will continue the same way. I remember well skating the tracks of Starlight Express with you, always seeing that glorious smile that never left your face. My appointments and Michael's overlapped.  So, we became acquaintances in the waiting room.  I think of that movie title "Something about Mary" and think of Michael, because there was 'something about Michael' that drew one's attention.  I didn't know his vocation until I read all these messages for you, and now it all makes sense.  The Lord says:  "Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted."  (Matthew 5:4)  I pray that His Word is fulfilled in you and your sons.  I hope that the wonderful memories that you shared with Michael, will sustain you through these dark days.

This breaks my heart.  Michael was in the first group of students I ever taught.  He was a talented young creative man who I knew was going places.  While his life was short, he touched many through his quiet dignity.

I send my condolences and my thoughts and prayers are with the King family. Coach King helped coach his son's Porter's basketball team in 2005, in which my daughter played for. I remembered him being very patient with the children and always praising them for job well done no matter the circumstance! I was saddened to read that he had passed and I will remember Coach King by the smile he kept! That smile could light up a room; therefore, it was apparent he was living life to the fullest & loving it!

My family was honored to break bread & bounce balls as he coached our boys 1st basketball team. We were neighbors & friends.  I will keep you  in PRAYER everyday!

So sorry to hear of Michael's passing.  I'll always remember Michael's smile and happy/positive attitude at dance class!!  He was a great teacher, mentor and friend in and out of the studio.  Everyone who met him, I'm sure was touched in a way that they will never forget him.  My family and I are thinking of his family at this difficult time.  He will be truly missed.

Michael managed to live a great deal in the time he was given.  He was a creative and bold person who left a wonderful legacy for his sons, wife, and family.

I later became friends with his sister and we still remain friends to this day.  Though the years I got to know Michael and was very excited for his success in the the world of dance.
