Michael B. Mattingly, 26, of Las Vegas passed away Nov. 09, 2014. He was born Feb. 16, 1988, at Nellis Air Force Base, and was a lifelong resident of Las Vegas. Michael was employed as a Level 2 Support Technician in the technical services industry, where he enjoyed being the best at what he did while troubleshooting problems with technical equipment. He recently started working towards software engineering. He was very knowledgeable with computers, enjoyed motorcycle riding and shooting firearms. He is survived by his mother, Joanne Mattingly; brother, Cody Mattingly, both of San Diego; grandfather, Bob Davis; aunt, Bobbie Smith; uncle, Harold Davis; cousins, Stephanie Tobin and Brandon Hicks; and many dear friends, all residing in Las Vegas. He had many distant relatives residing in the midwest. He was preceded in death by his father, James Mattingly; his grandmother, Mary Davis; and his aunt, Brenna Hicks. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
