

Milo James Serreyn was born November 17, 1950 in Tyler MN the only child of Emil and Delores (Durheim) Serreyn, where he was raised on the family farm. He started school in Marshfield Country for 2 years, then to Tyler Public School where he graduated high school in 1968. He then went on to attend college at SMSU in Marshall MN, where he graduated with a degree in Mathematics in 1972. He married the love of his life Jeanne Huber on her birthday December 15, 1973. They went on to have two children, Laura in 1974 and Nathan in 1977.
Milo worked for the Department of Defense as a QASAS (Quality Assurance Specialist Ammunition Surveillance) specialist for 36 years. His career took him to several locations including Kentucky, Illinois, Germany, Utah, Hawaii, Oklahoma, and Virginia where he worked in the Pentagon. He retired in 2010, where he and Jeanne relocated to Las Vegas NV.
Milo loved to travel and explore new things, spend time outdoors, and he was passionate about fixing cars and restoring his classics. Milo was well known as the neighborhood mechanic, where he fixed numerous cars for the community for little to no charge. He was a voracious reader and enjoyed his morning ritual of coffee, crossword puzzles and sudoku. Most importantly, Milo loved spending time with his family and friends and sharing his extensive knowledge on just about any subject under the sun, but especially his expertise in the art of mechanics and automobiles. He was also a master story teller and had a great sense of humor and loved making people smile.
Milo passed away suddenly on December 19, 2023 at UMC hospital. He was preceded in death by his mother Delores, his father Emil, stepmother Louise, stepsister Elaine, and stepbrother Donald. He is survived by his loving wife Jeanne, daughter Laura and her husband Duane of Pasco WA, and his son Nathan and his wife Jennifer of Las Vegas NV, and step-sister, JoAnn Woltjer of Benson, MN.
A visitation for Milo will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Palm Northwest Mortuary, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131, followed by a reception from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
