I have read so many people say that Mommy was like a second Mom to them.  She was like a second Mom to me and my sisters, too.  I have so many fond memories of Mommy, especially when we used to go to church together, sometimes in Glorieta, sometimes in Tagaytay.  She was the one who dropped me off at the airport when I left the Philippines.  She was a loving aunt, a wonderful person who did not have a bad bone in her body.  She  will be missed by many…And I’m one of them!

Mommy G has always been a kind and caring person.  Everytime we visit, she always welcomes us with open arms and a very happy smile.  We will miss her in so many ways and of course we will miss all her meaningful messages of love in all her facebook comments during birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, graduations and many other life events she never misses. My memories with Mare Gilda is beyond the word “special”. She’s not only a friend, a kumare but a sister to me. She calls me Movitz Mare (my nick name first before Mare) and I call her Mare Gilda. She was always there to help particularly on time of my distress. Whenever I encountered problems at school, she was there to listen and always give me valuable advices.  If she couldn’t reach me in person, she calls me to verify if everything is okay. Mare Gilda, I am forever grateful for all the love, thoughtfulness and kindness you’ve shown to me and my family. We’re thankful we had chances to reunite with you here in United States. You’ll be forever remembered in our hearts. You may now rest in peace. Goodbye, my dearest Kumare. I LOVE YOU!

Dear Ate Nene,                          
As a young wife then raising a family, you could have said "No." But you believed in God's love  and chose the high and difficult road:  you welcomed me and wholeheartedly  shared my brother's moral responsibility to raise me. Thank you for teaching me How To Live Life the Christian Way 101  not just with words but with the way  you lived Christ's ways. I am  forever indebted to you for everything,  Ate Nene. Your  kindness, generosity, love and beautiful example have changed the trajectory of my life.  I enjoy happy chapters in my unfolding life story and look forward to happy endings because of you. Ma’am G is more than a former Boss. She was a close friend, our ninang, a confidante, a mentor, a role model. She was brilliant, I was a newbie back then, but she took me under her wings and a close friendship formed between us, even after she got promoted as Department Head of Abada High School. She was the gold standard of friendship as she was generous  with her time, her wise counsel, and her gifts, especially to those who sought her. She only had kind words for everyone, she never held a grudge or  ill will, or say anything negative against anyone (at first, I even asked myself “Is she for real?” She was, really; that’s why I’m sure she is now in heaven). She gave sound advice because she was a good listener, never judging anyone. She was always supportive of my endeavors, praying for my success. Now that she is in heaven and has God’s ears, i know she will continue to pray for me and her loved ones. “The greatest gift of life is friendship and I’ve received it.” From you, Ma’am G. I have received unconditional friendship from you.  Although I have other friends and  you have even brought many of them in my life, you will always be the best. Thank you for the opportunity to be your friend. I will always treasure you and your sweet memories. You will never be forgotten. Although I will miss you, I know you are in a better place now. My apologies if this shows as a duplicate message but I do not see my upload from 8/23/21. I will always remember the kind, soft spoken & loving voice of mommy G with her warm & beautiful smile. The times that we shared when I picked her up from school to drop by Ma'am Espie's office where they share their recap of their day & Ma'am Espie singing " I left my heart, in San Francisco". Times when we would go for our lunch or dinner dates at Aristocrat & Max's restaurant where we enjoyed our favorite dish pansit Canton, lumpiang Shanghai & fried chicken. Hours stuck in traffic & flood on the way home to Marikina but we did not mind it at all because we were engrossed with our conversation & some music playing on the radio. Family picnics, birthday celebration s,swimming parties & re- unions. Thank you mommy G for the love & kindness throughout the years. You will always be in our hearts.

Mommy G  was like a second mother to me. She was kind, thoughtful, caring and very sweet to everyone.  It was a pleasure and a privilege to have spent time with her.  We love you and we will miss you dearly, Mommy G.

I have so much memories of my loving sister Manay Nene. 
I am just thankful that I had the time to express my gratitude for everything she has done for all of us during the last face time we had with other sisters Edith and Remy. I would be in deep regret if I didn't, because of her unexpected time and day of her passing.   It was a light and jolly conversation, but fruitful and productive one. Although she was in pain talking , she tried to be strong and was able deliver her message and say her piece. To all of us, MamG maybe physically gone, but spiritually, she will always be with us as a source of strength and guidance. It is also important for us to realize that she isn't gone, but exists in everything she has done for us, every lesson she taught us, and every example she set for us to emulate. 
To all of you ,  you may or may not agree with me......she was my inspiration,  my super hero, my biggest CHEERLEADER, who was always proud of me.....most of all, she was the WIND BENEATH MY WINGS....I never got the chance to say goodbye, but yes, FLY, FLY, FLY on your way to the gates of heaven. My Loving Sister- Gilda A. Guerrero
Losing a sister like Manay Nene or we fondly call her Mami G, I am beyond words to describe the sadness and hurtful feelings I have. Just thinking now that she is gone is very difficult to bear, gives me sleepless nights and pretentious smiles covering up the sorrow that is felt. Those of us left behind, our lives will never be the same. We can just move on and live by with the wonderful, unforgettable memories we shared with her. These will ease up the pain we have and comply with her request not to shed tears nor feel sad when she leaves this earth.
Everyone knows the kind of person Manay Nene was. For me, to describe her, I always  use all the superlatives...the KINDEST, most PATIENT, most CARING, LOVING, THOUGHTFUL, GENEROUS, UNDERSTANDING, HUMBLE, the best LISTENER, ADVISOR, someone who can transform negative to positive vibes, never a bad or foul word said about anyone, never a bitterness, covers up a person's inadequacies or flaws, always find ways to better a situation, or what is the best....so prayerful and God- fearing, who reminds you of your spiritual obligations....she was walking to an almost perfect path to sainthood. I lost a very special person, a wonderful sister  who I am blessed and very lucky to have.
She played a big part in my life. I treasure the memories  growing up with her. I am so grateful for the times we spent together....the bonding moments we shared, although sometimes briefly, were always fruitful, productive and there has always been LOVE....we always talk about our lives, good times and bad times. There have been difficult moments and struggles in our lives--our family--- she was always around, the first to offer help and support.  
Manay Nene would always give me sensible advise to my sometimes stubborn head. She never forced her opinions on me, but offered valuable and truthful advice that would make me realize she is right. ❤❤❤ She respected boundaries, and valued your feelings and thoughts. 

My dearest Lola G,
You fought your illness really hard and God gifted you with three more years to enjoy your wonderful life.  We will always admire you for your faith and certitude.  You're truly an inspiration to all of us.  
We thank God for sharing you to us for 83 years.  You were a great blessing to everyone.
For everything and the many things that you've done for our family, I would like to say thank you, so very much.  
I'll be so grateful forever.

Ate Nene may be younger than me but because she is the wife of Kuya Gani I have to call her Ate.

Ate Nene was very kind and generous to all. I can never forget when we were on our way to Paranaque to visit Jimmy and Linda   my wallet got stolen by pickpocketer many years ago. Readily  Ate Nene gave me money because she knew the money was for Chrstmas groceries. She never hesitated to give what she had. Even up until 3 years ago  he would give me something whenever I see her.

Our family is forever grateful for helping my wife, Ligaya to get a job at Assumption Makati. 

Ate Nene, we will miss you! Thanks for being a part of our lives! Rest in peace with the Lord!

I will never forget Tita Nene for her kindness and love she has shown to our family! I am thankful I had a chance to see her, had lunch with her and share stories with her years ago when I visited the Philippines. She was so sweet and full of life. I didn't know she was sick because she looked great on her pics in fb.

I admire her courage and strength to face her challenges. What a great fighter!

One of my fondest memories of Mommy G is when our group of friends would have our regular get togethers to celebrate a birthday, a holiday (complete with costumes & a theme) and of course, a Pacquiao fight. 
Mommy G would usually sit serenely in the living room watching our shenanigans with a big smile on her face (and sometimes, she would burst into laughter when Romy & Ric would do something funny accompanied by a half empty bottle of Patron.  Sometimes, I wonder what Mommy G was thinking of whenshe saw us and our shenanigans.  But I told myself, they must be good thoughts because she was smiling.  You have to realize that our get togethers had different stages....FIRST would be the chicahan when we first get to the house. SECOND, would be the chicahan + eating. THIRD would be  the eating &then the picture taking, and 4th would be the eating & chicahan uli + the usual rounds of Patron and tequila.  By this stage everyone was just in a goofy mood. All throughout, Mommy G would just sit patiently and watch us with her big, beautiful smile. Sometimes, I would catch her just shaking her head and laugh (at Romy, Ric and now joined by Arnel, Bob and Bhob, Ave&Jake)
The 5th stage is all about eating, talking, drinking AND KARAOKE.  
 (But of course! No Filipino gathering would be complete without the karaoke.  This is when Mommy G would ask my husband, Bob to sing her favorite songs like I left my heart in San Francisco by Tony Bennett and You lift me up by Josh Groban. She would then sit back on the sofa and smile a contented smile.  During some of these get togethers, I would bring my Mom (Mommy Angie) to the party so she could see Mommy G.  They would always sit side by side & talk softly  about family while "the girls" (Gynette, Lana, Ivy, Myrna, Monina and myself) would sit together and catch up on family, work, health & future cruises. 
You have been such an inspiration to us &we will terribly miss you  You are such a class act!
Know that we will always love you. 

I remember the times i spent with Mommy  G there were no bad times in any way,  she was a good Lola to her grand children, she offers help all the time, she was sweet with a sound mind and spirit. We will miss you Mommy G. till we meet again…

Lola G will always have a special place in my heart because of the fond memories I have of her taking care of Ching and I growing up. She’d always make us lunch by cooking hot dogs and watch Ching and I play rock band video games on the TV. She was always smiling and so happy, and I am glad that she now feels even more happiness and joy being with the Lord in Heaven. Rest in Peace, Lola G.

Everytime I celebrated my birthday or gift of life you always greeted me, full of love and always called me ANAK.  Hindi ko alam na yun na pala ang last  na greet mo sa akin noong ako'y nagcelebrate ng 60th birthday, and you were wearing a red dress with balloons and cake in your hands, though we are far from each other. On that day when my friends here in Macau showed me your video greeting, I was surprised, overwhelmed  and very grateful.  I will forever salute you, Mommy G, because you have been a second mother to me. You taught me to never give up on my dreams and mentioning always to finish my studies and to persevere no matter how hard life may be. 
When I was living in Alonso Malate, you never failed to drop by or visit me , always with hopia on the side. Lagi kang may bitbit na mainit pang Hopia, fresh from Quiapo.  Manay Nene you are an Angel given us to teach us love. You gave love without condition and inspired me with your kabaitan and unconditional love. Tears would not let me pen down how loving you are to me. All I can say is that I am heartbroken, but I take solace in the fact that I know you are now in a better place, free from sickness and pain. You will be forever in my heart, Manay Nene. Thank you so much for all the love...again, I am truly grateful to God to have you as part of my life..... Goodbye my dearest Manay Nene. I love you.

Mommy G reminded me so much of Mama Luz.  Growing up, she knew I was a very shy, awkward kid, when we had get together, she always made it a point to talk to me, doled out compliments and encouraged me to pursue my nursing career. She had the welcoming smile, gentle voice and calm demeanor that I’ve always admired. I know that she is smiling right now, happy that we can all gather together to celebrate a well-lived life! My memories of Mommy G is so special because I thank her for giving me a best friend that I could even say a sister that I never had. Mommy G is a wonderful sweet lady and I’ve learn a lot from her when we’re together how to be patient with my daughter Ashley . She thought me how to be calm and speak slowly and not to be upset right away. She’s a lady with all smiles as soon as she gets up in the morning til she says goodnight to you. As principal of RMHS, I was busy most of the time. With all humility, she would wait patiently never showing any kind of irritation whenever she paid me a visit. 
In our friendly chat, never did she use a word of disrespect.  She always observed the highest form of ethical standards. 
Gie , as a friend was one of a kind - sensitive to your needs, draws the best in you. 
Gie, though you are physically gone, you will forever be CHAINED in our hearts.

Mam Gie introduces Belen to her kababayan from Pangasinan, the English-speaking Mam Espie, 
whom Pining fears to approach.
Mam Espie meets Mam Gie for the first time in Tondo with the principals and the summer Baon Gang. 
They wait from 8 am till 2pm for the paymaster’s arrival, and payout by 4pm.
Mam Espie eats last after serving lunch and snacks to each principal and bodyguard, department head and guidance counsellor. 
Mam Gie gives Msm Espie Bechaves flowers, which paid receipts the messenger shows. 
Calling Gie’s attention to the expensive blooms, ‘Because you love flowers,’ Gie answers.
From Abada, Gie comes to Magsaysay High  almost everyday, sits down as I am busy, just looks at me, then leaves, says Mam Espie.
‘Pag di niya ako nakikita, di ako nakakatulog. I idolize you,’ Gie says. 
‘That’s me’ ( Ganyan ako), Msm Gie says.
Gie knows if you’re sad, if you have problems. 
Never mention what you like. The next day, ipapadala niya. 
She loves the people whom I love.

Warrior Gie doesn’t want an eulogy.

She introduces her gang to the best, expensive, name restaurants like Italianni’s.
Cool Gie  is unfazed by an angry table pounder, Minda witnesses.
Ninang Gie takes Susan under her wings; teaches her how to deal with teachers/superiors: Obey before you complain.
She’s Prayer Warrior for Susan to keep calm before her traditional defense panel. 
Susan, who must have heard Warrior Gie, keeps calm.
Generosity is Mam Gie’s strongest mark of character, says Tess.

Because she is late coming to class, following Development Reading and lower section teaching years, Tess gets to teach higher sections.

Ma'am Gilda Guerrero will always be in my heart. She had been a mentor in my stay at M.A. Roxas H.S. and had been a very loving and generous friend to my family especially to my daughter, Uday. Ma'am GG, as we fondly called her, will remain an exceptional buddy who was so patient despite my being stubborn. Ma'am GG, rest in peace. God and Mama Mary love you.

Ma… Your life was a blessing, your memory was a treasure.  You’re Loved beyond words and missed beyond treasure.

Our mommy, whom mostly everyone fondly called Mommy G or Manay Nene, has touched so many people's lives. She was very loving,  generous, helpful and kind.  There's not a day in her life that she wouldn't think of the welfare of others especially the vulnerable and needy.  Anyone who needed good advice had thought of her first and when they asked for it, surely received the wisdom they sought.   She was the perfect counselor to anyone who needed guidance.  She welcomed any relative or  friend who needed shelter to her home.  She had a big heart and a bright mind.  For everyone who's life she has touched, she is simply the best. 
For me, she was a beautiful,  loving, gentle, generous and cheerful mother that was more than I deserved.  Now, my heart is broken because she is no longer with us but I find comfort in my faith in the Lord God Almighty that she is now in His Heavenly Kingdom looking down on me and watching over me.  I gained an Angel in heaven and I feel blessed.

I love you mommy and you will forever in my heart and mind.
