

Nadine Carter, 98, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026, after a long and blessed life filled with love, family, and cherished memories. She was born on August 15, 1927, in Concordia, Kansas, to Adlor and Pearl Demers.
Nadine lived a life rooted in devotion to her family and country. As a proud military wife, she traveled extensively alongside her husband, embracing each new duty station as an opportunity to build community and create a home wherever they were. Through the many moves and changes, she remained a steady and loving presence for her family.
One of Nadine’s fondest joys was gathering with fellow military spouses. She took great pride in hosting, often bringing out her cherished silver tea set to welcome others with warmth and grace. These moments reflected her gift for hospitality and her ability to make everyone feel at ease and valued.
Following her husband’s retirement, Nadine and her family settled in El Paso, Texas, where she continued to build a life filled with friendship and activity. For many years, she enjoyed being an active member of the Model A Car Club. She also dedicated her time volunteering at her neighborhood thrift shop, where she became a familiar and friendly face to many. Nadine was known for her wit, her lively spirit, and her ability to truly enjoy life to the fullest.
Nadine was predeceased by her loving husband, Keith E. Carter; her son, Stephen Carter; her daughter-in-law, Cecilia A. Carter; and her parents, Adlor and Pearl Demers.
She is survived by her son, Jeffery A. Carter; her granddaughter, Krystie G.C. Sullivan and her husband, Sean C. Sullivan; her grandsons, Jerry W. Stewart and his wife, Elizabeth Stewart, and
William M. Carter and his partner, Felisha Bocca; as well as her cherished great-grandchildren, Jayda-Lynn N. Carter, Kyrie A. Stewart, Wyatt S. Black, Rosemary G. Carter, Lucia D. Carter, and Luna R. Carter.
Nadine will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
