Nancy was born on April 22, 1947. She spent her early years in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, then in Morristown, New Jersey, where she graduated from Morristown High School. She studied special education at Depauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, and graduated in 1969. After graduation Nancy relocated to the Tacoma area in Washington where she lived for many years and worked in a variety of positions. She retired and moved to Las Vegas in 2018.
Nancy was a talented artist who enjoyed designing beaded jewelry and working on decorative macrame projects. She had many good years with her beloved animals, and while living in Washington she trained Kep, her Border Collie, for agility competitions. Her sweet dog Boomer will miss her.
Nancy was an active member of Sun City Community Church and a devoted member of her Thursday Bible Study group. She enjoyed visiting and vacationing with family, hiking, reading and spending time with good friends.
Nancy is survived by her brother Ted, of Las Vegas; Mark, of Raleigh, NC (Mari); and her sister Wendy (Erick) of Utrecht, the Netherlands, as well as a nephew and three nieces, two grandnieces and two grandnephews.
The family will celebrate Nancy’s life privately.
For those who wish to honor Nancy’s life and her love of animals, the family suggests making donations in her name to the Nevada SPCA (nevadaspca.org).
