Norma Elva Orozco, 54, a lab technician, of Las Vegas, passed away April 30, 2011. She was born Feb. 5, 1957, in Long Beach, Calif., and was a 50-year resident of Nevada. Norma met Joel Orozco in October 1976, and they married July 1979. Norma had her first child in 1980, her second in 1982 and her third in 1985, all at Sunrise Hospital. Norma worked at College Of Southern Nevada. She was an amazing person who loved people, her friends and most of all, her family. Norma also loved her job, her dogs, nature and most of all spending time with her grandson. She enjoyed traveling with her family, where she could put her feet in the sand and whale watch, going to the movies and playing the slot machines. Norma supported, cheered and was very involved in all her children's sports and extracurricular activities, especially soccer! Norma is survived by her husband, Joel Orozco; daughters, Veronica and Erica Orozco; son, David Orozco; and grandson, David-Esiah Orozco. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, May 6. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 7, both at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
