It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Pamela Ann Davis on November 9, 2025, she was 76 years old. While surrounded by her loved ones, she passed away peacefully in her home in Las Vegas, Nevada. She bravely fought a lengthy illness, yet she maintained her kindness and love of family and friends. She is survived by her devoted husband, Harold Davis, who was her champion in life. He lovingly cared for her throughout her cancer battle, often sacrificing his own comfort for hers. Their partnership is a true testament of love. She is also survived by her three children, Joanna Palmer, Jim Lafferty, and Christopher Davis. Her legacy continues with eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Pamela also leaves behind her sisters Patty, Barbara and Terri and her brothers Bobby, Michael, and Rick.
Pamela was born on February 10, 1949 in Owosso, MI to the late Robert Douglas Morris and the late Josephine Marie Lencioni. Her family relocated to California when she was very young. She grew up in Southern California where she attended a private Catholic school through middle school. She loved singing and was part of the Madrigal Choir. After she graduated high school, she took gap years and traveled. She took on odd jobs and moved to Oklahoma, Chicago and back to California where she met the father of her first born son. In 1973, she welcomed James Owen Lafferty Jr. A few years later, she found herself as a single mom. She worked tirelessly to support her son by working in varied Customer Service jobs. Even though money was tight, she wanted her son to enjoy a private Catholic School education just like she did. She was also an active member of her local Catholic church and they both sang in the choir together.
In February 1986, she met the love of her life, Harold Davis on a Dependents Cruise hosted by the USS Vandegrift. That meeting sealed the deal to their lifelong connection. They did not waste any time in beginning their lives together. They were married in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 14, 1986. She instantly became a mom to Joanna Davis, who was thirteen at the time. Her family continued to grow and in December that year, they welcomed their son Christopher Davis. Now a proud Navy wife, she embraced her new role. Her proudest job was as an ombudsman for the USS Acadia AD42 from 1992-1994. She served as a direct link for families during ship deployments. Her family lived in Norwalk, San Pedro and eventually in San Diego where they lived for over seven years. In 1994, Harold retired from the Navy. Upon his retirement, Pamela and Harold along with Christopher settled in Wilmington, NC. She lived seventeen happy years with her beloved dogs, KC, Buddy and Chewy. Her home was located close to the shore and she loved going out on their boat, going swimming and relaxing on the coastal waters with her son Chris. As her youngest child, her and Chris shared a special bond. In October 2012, she relocated for the last time and settled in Las Vegas, NV to be closer to family. Harold and Pamela were happily married for 39 years and shared many adventures together.
For those that knew Pamela, she had a quick wit, was assertive in her views, and unapologetically set in her ways. She cared for the local hummingbirds that would often visit her window by providing sugar water for them. She enjoyed giving her newest adopted dog Brody a cookie treat every night. She also enjoyed playing online games with the community of friends she made on FaceBook. She was also adamant in helping others by making weekly charitable donations. Most of all, she loved deeply and cherished her family above all else.
Pamela leaves behind a lasting legacy through her indomitable spirit and the love she fostered to all those around her. She was the heart and soul of her family. Pamela will forever be missed, and we look forward to the day we reunite again in God’s Kingdom.
“Eternal rest grant unto Pamela Davis, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace.” Amen.
A simple gathering for Pamela will be held Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Palm Mortuary - Cheyenne, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89129.
