Pamela Anne Miller, 79, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and devotion to her family. Born in Washington, D.C., on May 1, 1947, Pam was the beloved daughter of the late Mary Catherine Sites and Edgar L. Mitchell Jr.
Pam lived a vibrant life centered around the people she cherished most. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, John C. Miller, in 2012, and her stepdaughter, Laura Miller Smith, in 2026. She found the greatest joy with her children, Shaun and Stacey, who spent her final years by her side in Las Vegas. Known for her wonderful social spirit and great gift of gab, Pam lit up every room she walked into, greeted everyone with her signature "Hey Darlin’!", and shared an easy, infectious laugh that brightened every conversation. She was a consistent presence in her community, serving as President of her local arthritis swim club. She gathered weekly for games with close friends and enjoyed playing low-bet slots around town. A passionate sports fan, Pam was always ready to cheer on her favorite teams: the Vegas Golden Knights and the Washington Redskins.
She is survived by her son, Shaun Miller; her daughter, Stacey Miller, and son-in-law, Kevin Lewis; her brother, Tim Mauzy; her sisters, Donna Griffith, Catherine Mitchell, and Roberta (Robby) Mauzy; her sister-in-law, Janie Jones; her grandson, Taylor Miller; and many nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.
A memorial service celebrating Pam's life will take place on August 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Palm Cheyenne Mortuary in Las Vegas, Nevada. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in her honor to the American Brain Tumor Association.
