Patricia Nevius Kranish, profoundly dear friend of way over a half century. We met via our daughters Anne and Gabriell. Without Pat, there never would have been a Lower East Side Printshop. She in effect proposed it. She and her four children were its first participants during hard times 1968 in New York City for grammar schools, high schools, colleges. We built a fresh educational community  in effect - people of all ages and previous experience drawing together, making prints, binding books, writing poems and stories, looking over one another's shoulders, teaching and learning by turns all around.

Also all the grandchildren I never met and the one I did when he was a baby

Pat was a dynamic woman that shared experiences and wisdom. Her presence will be thoroughly missed. My condolences  goes out to Mike and the rest of her family and friends. 🙏🏾

No one could ever replace Ma. Ever. Ma was one of a kind. A kind, beautiful spirit who loved and accepted everyone. She was a true lady. A dignified scholar. A respected mother. A true friend. A fierce ally. An absolute force of nature and a star who's light will never stop burning. I will hang on to every single memory with my grandmother, for dear life. My children, Kenneth and Joel, will remember their grandmother as exactly what she was. The Grande Ma.
