Paul William Darcy

March 15, 1936 -- February 1, 2022

Paul passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 60 years, Helen Darcy, née Saponari, and his daughter Diana Darcy and son Christopher Darcy, along with their respective spouses Peter O’Riordan and Amy French Darcy. Paul had four granddaughters, Andrea and Sarah O’Riordan, Ashley Darcy Fish (Brandon Fish) and Alexa Darcy, who will miss his warmth, hugs, and grandpop jokes very much, along with making the traditional antipasto with him at Thanksgiving. Paul was the son of the late Paul Dennis Darcy and Naomi Burg Darcy.

Paul was born and raised in Philadelphia. After high school Paul enlisted in the Air Force, serving our country overseas in Japan and afterward in the reserves. He then attended LaSalle University in Pennsylvania studying industrial management. Paul had a long and successful career in quality assurance, rising to the rank of Branch Chief at the U.S. Department of Defense in Philadelphia, PA. In retirement he became a contractor for Intertek Testing Services NA Inc, performing inspections. In 2004, Paul and Helen moved to Nevada, where Paul continued to perform inspections in Las Vegas and surrounding states.

Paul will be remembered as a wonderfully loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend who took great care of his family, while entertaining everyone with his many stories and excellent sense of humor.

On February 15, 2022, there will be a private viewing for immediate family at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne, Las Vegas, NV 89129.

On February 17, the family will receive friends at Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive Las Vegas, NV 89128, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral mass from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. A luncheon will follow the mass.
