Peter Sturges was born at Whiteman Air Force Base, MO to John Sturges and Susan Marshall on July 18, 1958. Peter moved as a toddler with his family to Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. Peter’s father’s military career took him and the family to Los Angeles, CA; Sunnyvale, CA; Dayton, OH; and finally to Los Altos, CA upon his father’s retirement. Peter played football his last two years of high school and attended Awalt High School in Mountain View, CA. He was also a champion competitive tennis player during his high school career.
After high school, Peter attended several colleges to study music, including Cabrillo College; Foothill College; and the University of California, Santa Barbara. Peter was a talented musician. During his young adult years, Peter expressed his love of music by playing his guitar, singing, and composing original songs, even performing at many venues throughout the Bay Area. His long career as a cheesemonger began at the Milk Pail Dairy, and he then had many successful positions with a number of high end grocery stores.
Peter married Debbie Renacia on September 9, 2000 in Dubai, UAE and moved to Las Vegas, NV together in May 2001. Peter and Debbie had their firstborn daughter, Izobel Sturges, on July 26, 2001. They had their secondborn daughter, Cianna Sturges, on July 13, 2004. Peter enjoyed spending his time swimming at the beach, playing tennis, and playing the guitar. As an avid traveler, Peter explored many countries and embraced the experiences and cultures he encountered along the way.
Peter was known as a loving brother, husband, and father who cared very deeply about his family and showed devout dedication to his career and passions. Peter will always be remembered for his compassion, unwavering positivity, and the endless joy he brought to everyone fortunate enough to know him. His kindness, generous spirit, and love for others will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends, inspiring all who were touched by his life. May his legacy of love, laughter, and selflessness be carried forward by those who cherish his memory, and may he rest in everlasting peace.
