Philip John Finelli

Philip John Finelli, 66, passed away on August 4, 2026. Born on March 16, 1960, in New York to Matthew and Patricia Finelli, he grew up in Queens before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada where he began his life’s work in the casino industry.

Philip devoted himself to that industry with steady determination, taking on many different roles over the years. Through consistent hard work and commitment, he earned the respect of those around him and was ultimately promoted to Casino Manager—an achievement that reflected both his dedication and the pride he took in doing things well.

In 2001, Philip met Tina, and the two shared 25 years together until his passing. Their life together was marked by companionship and the simple, meaningful rituals that make a home—especially their tradition of going out once a week to enjoy a good meal and try new places. A true foodie, Philip delighted in discovering flavors and savoring the moment, with pizza always holding the top spot among his favorites. He also brought that love of food into his own kitchen, where Italian dishes were his specialty, and he enjoyed pairing good food with good company.

Known for a presence that filled a room, Philip had an unmistakably larger-than-life spirit, and people were drawn to him with ease. Those who met him often found themselves liking him immediately, and his warmth and character left a lasting impression.

Philip was predeceased by both his parents, Matthew and Patricia Finelli. He is survived by his three daughters, Amanda, Alexandria, and Danielle; his four grandchildren, Mila, Brayden, Hazel, and Evie; and his love and best friend, Tina.
