Philip Tyler Saunders

Philip was born October 4, 1932 in Mason City, IA to Albert and Edna Saunders. He was educated in parochial and public schools in Mason City, IA. He graduated from Cornell College, Mt. Vernon, IA and successfully completed University of Iowa College of Law in 1959. He proudly worked for General Motors Corporation for 34 years and achieved the position of Director, GMC Quality Network prior to his retirement in 1998. He was a devoted member of St. Hugo of the Hills Catholic Church in Michigan and faithfully attend St. Joseph Husband of Mary while in Las Vegas.

He was preceded in death by his parents Albert Sr. and Edna Saunders, three brothers Albert Jr., Meredith and Roger Saunders and one sister Greta Jefferies.

Philip was united in holy matrimony to Cherry L. Witt on June 24, 1961 in Milwaukee, WI. to this union was born one daughter Renee Miller and one son Philip C. Saunders.

Mourning his departure are his wife of 64 years, Cherry Saunders, his two children and their families, which include his daughter Renee Miller, son-in-law Leonard and their daughter Lauren, his son Philip Saunders and his daughter-in-law Michelle and their two sons Trevor and Gregory. Philip is also remembered by his many, nieces, nephews, extend family members and close friends.
