Phyllis was born on August 14, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois to Frank Casella and Anna (Wysowaty) Casella. The world was blessed with her presence for 87 beautiful years.
On May 9, 1954, she married Robert Francis Drymalski. Together they raised four wonderful children: Janet, Debra, Robert and Michael. Devotion to her husband and children was her top priority throughout her life. Phyllis gave tirelessly of herself to her husband, Bob, during the past seven years as he battled cancer, always putting his needs above her own. She adored her children and grandchildren and always spoiled them with her love and gifts.
Hard working and dedicated, Phyllis was an Administrative Assistant for Marriott Hotels in Chicago for over 25 years. After "retirement" and a move to Las Vegas, she joined JCPenney working in both sales and clothing display, which utilized her artistic and creative ability. Phyllis enjoyed painting murals and doing calligraphy, and was known for her beautiful, artistic handwriting. Not only did Phyllis work hard but she always made time for fun and friends which were extremely important to her.
Ask her friends and they'll tell you that Phyllis will always be remembered for her love of life and people, her generous spirit, her fun personality, and the way she made everyone feel so special. She lit up any room she entered and was the life of the party dressed in her characteristic "sparkle and bling" jewelry and clothing. In fact, many strangers who complimented her on her jewelry received that piece as a gift from her. Phyllis loved going to the casino whether she won or lost - it was all about seeing her friends and having fun. Although she was an excellent cook, she loved eating out at her favorite restaurants and always gave a generous tip. It was her way of rewarding those who work so hard and to make them feel special.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her father, Frank, her mother, Anna, sisters Eleanor, Mary Ann, and brother, Stanley. She is survived by her husband, Bob, and her children, Jan Martin and husband Paul, Debra Kehm and husband, Charles, Robert Drymalski, and Michael Drymalski and his wife, Christina, as well as her amazing grandchildren, Sherri Howard, Jeffrey Kehm, Elliot Kehm, and Brian and Alex Drymalski.
