OBITUARY

Dr. Prinya Tipmongkol

Dr. Prinya Tipmongkol, 84, of las Vegas, Nevada, passed away unexpectedly on May 1, 2021. Born in Nakornsrithammarat, Thailand, Prinya came to the United States in 1962 after obtaining his medical degree from Chulalongkorn University. He completed his residency at Church Home and Bon Secours Hospitals before starting his private practice in the Baltimore area. He later entered the United States Air Force in 1982 where he served for 17 years before retiring.

Prinya is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sally; their two children and their spouses, Mark and Patricia Tipmongkol and Mary and Ross Crampton; their three grandchildren, Gina and David Luppino and Sara Tipmongkol; their two great-grandchildren, Malcolm and Domonic Cheeks; and his two siblings, Natta (Noi) Derwish and Somjin Tippayamongkol. Prinya is preceded in death by his brothers Polpit and Phirom.

In his spare time, he loved being with family and friends as well as playing tennis and pickle ball. He also enjoyed travelling to estate sales with his loving wife.

He will be forever remembered for his kindness and his enduring smile.

A memorial service will be held on May 14, 2021, at 1:00 pm at the Palm Cheyenne Mortuary, 7400 W Cheyenne Ave., Las Vegas, NV. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Prinya's memory can be made to the Shadow Hills Baptist Church, 7811 Vegas Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89128.

I met Prinya at pickleball years ago at Dula Gymnasium. He was such a nice person and a great pickleball player! I often thought about him and wondered how he was doing. I'm so sorry about his passing. I'll always remember him fondly! ❤️
