

Ralph Carmen Dunio, 95, of North Las Vegas, passed away in his sleep on December 17, 2025, at Legacy House in Las Vegas Nevada. Ralph was born in Dunmore, Pennsylvania, July 16, 1930, to Joseph and Mary Dunio. He graduated Dunmore High School, class of 1948. The Air Force took Ralph to Reno Nevada where he met and married Sally Grellman. The couple left Reno for Europe and various other State side assignments with their two children and were later divorced in Ontario California. After 20 years, Ralph retired from the Air Force and moved to Las Vegas Nevada where he became a Metrological Technician for the Atomic Energy Commission, which later became the Department of Energy (National Weather Service), where he met Carolyn Hadley. The two began dating around 1976 and after a 30 year courtship they married in 2006. The couple made their home in Sun City Aliante in North Las Vegas. Ralph loved to cook and BBQ, he made the best Lasagna, his sauce and meatballs were the best. He enjoyed photography, traveling, golf, working out, crossword puzzles, and loved family gatherings.
Ralph is survived by his children, Dennis (Sharon) Dunio; Diana Dunio; brother, Robert Dunio; stepchildren, Paula (Jerry) Nelson, Kirk Hadley, Robyn (Joe) Staples; sisters in-law, Carma Allen, Colleen (Dennis) Bay; as well, many grand and great grand children. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Dunio; parents, Mary and Joseph Dunio; sister, Nancy Dunio; and brother’s, Samuel Dunio, Eugene Dunio, Paul Dunio, and Joseph Dunio; and his entire high school class of 1948.
Ralph had a great sense of humor, was giving and helpful, he was a hard worker and always gave 110%. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed by relatives and friends.
Viewing will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, January 27th, at Palm Mortuary, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131. Services will be grave side at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday, January 28th, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Boulder City. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or American Cancer Society in memory of Ralph.
