A man of quiet strength, fierce determination, and an easy-going spirit, Ralph lived a life defined by service, adventure, and an unwavering devotion to those he loved.
Born in Riverside, California, Ralph was the eldest of five children. At the age of 18, he married the love of his life, Enriqueta “Keta” Nunez. Their 63-year marriage was a profound testament to partnership and devotion; they were inseparable until her passing, after which he missed her dearly. Together, they raised four children: Norine, Kathy, Ralph Jr., and Lori.
Ralph proudly served his country for 22 years, beginning with four years in the U.S. Air Force followed by a distinguished career in the Air National Guard in Van Nuys, California. As the head of the Finance Department, he earned numerous awards and set a great example for his family through his hard work and integrity.
After retiring from military service, Ralph and Keta moved to Las Vegas to enjoy "The Good Life." He had a passion for the excitement of the game, frequently visiting the Desert Inn to play Blackjack, Poker, Bingo, and the slots.
His resilience was unmatched; after recovering from a major heart attack, he returned to the workforce at his home parish, St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Roman Catholic Church, where he once again applied his financial expertise to serve the church community.
In his later years, Ralph focused on his dream of "hitting it big" by developing a unique program centered around his love for NFL football and numbers. He was a man who stayed current with the news and never shied away from a lively political debate.
He had a great love for his brother Michael, and his sisters: Rita, Alma and Madge; with whom he had enduring love and connection.
Above all, he cherished time with his family: his 4 children and their spouses, 23 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren, often sharing stories of years past over his favorite breakfast of fried eggs, bacon, papas and refried beans.
Ralph navigated his final journey with a grateful heart and a happy spirit. He is reunited in Heaven with his beloved Keta and resting in the eternal peace of his Savior.
