Ray Albert Arnold

Born on March 28, 1936, Ray proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. His military service took him and his family to many different places before ultimately settling in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he would make his home and build a life surrounded by family and friends.

Following his military service, Ray worked at the Nevada Test Site, contributing to an important chapter in Nevada’s history.

Ray was a hardworking, proud, and devoted family man. He took great pride in the things he cared about, and anyone who knew him knew there was one thing that could not be overlooked: his lawn. Ray was famously known for having the greenest lawn in the neighborhood—a source of pride and perhaps a little friendly competition. It was one of those simple things that perfectly captured who Ray was: he cared about doing things right and took pride in everything he put his hands to.

Ray was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jacqueline (Jackie), and his son, Mike. Their loss left an emptiness that he carried with him, but their memory remained a cherished part of his life.

He is survived by his three children, Rob, Pam, and Wendy; eight grandchildren, Christa, Justin, Adrienne, Britainy, Brendan, Steven, Michael, and Natalie; and eleven great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Reagan, Bailey, Brayden, Holden, Hunter, Naomi, Austin, Mason, Rylee, and Lucas. He is also survived by his siblings, Larry and Steve.

Ray’s greatest legacy is the family he leaves behind. Through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, his memory will continue to live on for generations to come.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten.
