

Regina D. Thomas, age 91, of Las Vegas, died on Thursday, March 6, 2014 in Las Vegas. Born February 7, 1923 in Bower, West Virginia, she has been a resident of Las Vegas for over 30 years. Mrs. Thomas worked as a secretary in the United States Pentagon and the Department of Commerce in Washington DC for more than 30 years before retiring. She was a devout member of the All Saints’ Episcopal Church. Regina also volunteered with St. Jude’s Ranch for Children, Salvation Army Women’s Ministry League until age 90! She enjoyed quilting and baking and loved to read and then donated her books to many Las Vegas organizations. She will always be remembered for her wonderful attitude and sense of humor. Survivors include her son, Elvin “Clyde” (Joyce) Dawson; grandson, Ramon (Jasmine) Dawson; and granddaughters, Deitria Brown, Regina Dawson, and Janice (Eugene) Ellis. Services will be held Saturday, March 22nd at 11AM at the All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 4201 W Washington Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89107. In lieu of flowers, please continue Regina’s legacy and contribute to the Salvation Army.
