Richard Arthur Dahlstrom, 67, a retired special steel checker of Las Vegas passed away on October 31, 2013. He was born in Irvington, New Jersey on March 1, 1946 and has been a resident of Nevada since September 15, 2013. Everyone knew him as “Pop”. His pride and joy was his collection of 45 recorders which included, “I Did it My Way” that he and Christopher listen to every Sunday night. Pop was an avid sports fan of the San Francisco 49ers, Oakland A’s, and a longtime season ticket holder of his beloved Golden State Warriors. The last game of his life put a smile on his face. It was seeing the Golden State Warriors beat the Los Angeles Lakers. This was a long time coming, and now he can rest in peace. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Dahlstrom. Richard is survived by his only son and best friend, Christopher Dahlstrom; and supportive sister-in-law, Jane Niemeyer. Pop will be truly missed by those who loved him. The services will be private.
