Richard served his country proudly in the Army during the Korean War. He was an educator before his retirement. He is survived by his loving wife, Colleen (Welsh) Hilliard, a daughter Kathleen Coyne from Seattle, Washington and a son, Richard P. Hilliard from Auburn, California. Mr. Hilliard has 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A public visitation will be held on Saturday July 14, at 1 pm and a memorial service will follow at 2 pm in the chapel under the direction of Rev. Mary Bredlau at Palm Mortuary Cheyenne, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89129.
