

Richard Carl Jess, 80, formerly of Camden, NC and Queens, NY passed away on December 27, 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Richard was born in Brooklyn, NY to Walter and Victoria Jess. He served his country in the United Stated Army, followed by a career in law enforcement as a police officer with the New York City Police Department. He spent his entire career in the 109th Precinct in Flushing, Queens. He married his first wife, Patricia and they had his only child, Christine, who he adored, and was so proud she also became a dedicated member of the New York State Police. After divorce, he married Elizabeth and then Nancy all of whom survived him . Upon retiring, he relocated to Camden, North Carolina where he enjoyed golfing, photography and his dog, Duchess. He was an avid NY Yankee fan.
In 2017, he moved to Las Vegas to be closer to his daughter.
He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Victoria Jess.
He is survived by his daughter Christine and her husband Terry Revella, his sister Barbara and her husband Francis (Bud) Tardiff of Camden, North Carolina, .and sister Constance and her husband John Gherlone of Staten Island, New York, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Richard will be interred at the Southern Nevada Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Boulder City, NV on February 22, 2022 at 8:00am
