

Richard Joseph Poma, 37, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on June 6, 2026. Though his time on earth was far too short, Richard lived a life marked by laughter, creativity, and a spirit that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Born on February 17, 1989, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Richard had a way of making people feel welcome. To some he was Richard, to many he was Rick, and to those closest to him he was Ricky. No matter what name you knew him by, he was known for his infectious smile, positive outlook, and genuine kindness. He was fun to be around, quick to laugh, and had a natural ability to bring people together.
A talented carpenter by trade, Richard was both creative and artistic. He had a gift for working with his hands and bringing ideas to life. Whether building something from scratch, preparing a meal, or helping a friend in need, he approached life with imagination, passion, and a strong work ethic.
Richard was a sensitive soul who felt the world deeply. He experienced life’s highs and lows with intensity and compassion, and those closest to him knew the depth of his heart. His loyalty, kindness, and ability to connect with others were among the qualities that made him unforgettable.
He found joy in cooking, spending time with family and friends, and sharing good conversation and laughter. Richard had a way of making ordinary moments memorable and leaving people with stories they would tell for years to come.
Richard is survived by his father, his stepmother, his sons Elijah, Christian, and Noah, his seven siblings, and his 23 beloved nieces and nephews. Family meant everything to Richard, and he shared a special bond with each of them. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.
A funeral service celebrating Richard’s life will be held on June 15, 2026, at Palm Northwest Mortuary in Las Vegas, Nevada, with burial to follow at Palm Northwest Cemetery.
Richard will be remembered for his generous heart, his creativity, his sense of humor, and the joy he brought to those around him. Whether you knew him as Richard, Rick, or Ricky, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
