ricky, 
i am so sorry that i didnt make it to vegas for your funeral. i feel so much guilt that it actually hurts. i miss you so much. i have a friend in rehab and shes trying to help me get in so i think im gonna really do it. its the best way i can think of to honor you and find meaning in this grief that is consuming me. i need to get insurance and then im really going to go to rehab. i mean it. im going to do everything i can to live the life you would want for me to live. i miss the way you cared so much for others. you were so kind. i hope you know that you are loved. you made such an impact on every person who got the opportunity to meet you, you will never ever be forgotten. i wish i never left vegas. i wish i couldve been there to protect you the way you did for everyone else. i love you so much.

I remember being in fourth grade seeing Ricky’s smile and cool demeanor and always wanting to be closer friends. I can still recall the times in class when Ricky and John would have the class bursting out in laughter. I was so happy that he came to my birthday party and we were able to have a fun time just being kids together with our classmates. It doesn’t feel real. Rest in peace ❤️

Ricky was always my favorite cousin secretly lol . I always felt so cool and always bragged that I got to say ricky was MY cousin. I told everyone in our school who didn’t know it. Even until high school! He was so cool to me lol. And he was! He was so sweet, funny, and popular in a lowkey way and I loved that about him. He was always so mysterious but once you knew him you could tell how much he cared. ❤️ Oh how much my heart aches for Ricky. My heart aches for his parents and sister. I hope they feel so proud of this amazing young man they raised. Every person i’ve spoken to had such nice words to say. He loved so hard and was so beyond loved. He never hesitated to let me know he was there for me. He even rode his bike to my house one day on my birthday just to hang out with me in the front yard. Ricky texted me the day before he passed away, just to simply ask how I was doing and ask if I was okay💔 He never was able to get back to me. It brings me so much peace that he was thinking of me. That I heard from him that day. I was so so happy when I saw his message. I was so happy for him. This isn’t fair and i don’t think i’ll ever understand why it had to be you💔You left such a big impact on everyone you came across. Even if it was just a conversation. My heart hurts so bad. I miss you so much. You should be here right now. 💔

I remember playing around with him growing up during School Years, I loved being the big nerdy cousin who played games with him all the time, I'll never forget that unique smile he always had on his face. Love you and Miss you Little Ricky, Rest in peace.

I can’t believe that this is true, a part of me is still wishing it wasn’t , even though we haven’t talked it pulls my hearts in ways I would’ve never imagined, because even if I never thought we’d talk again, I never thought that you would pass away so young. I was sure you’d live your life all the way out and overcome all these hard times. I’ve been replaying all the memories that we have together in my head, you’re on my mind 24/7,  and all I can say, is, I wish you the best wherever you are, I hope you rest easy. I love you <3

Ricky was full of love and kindness. He was curious, brilliant, and funny. His soft and gentle energy made everyone around him feel happy and safe. It was such an honor to be his auntie and watch him grow up alongside his cousins. I also got the pleasure of being his 4th grade teacher and observed a young man who was giving, diplomatic, smart and witty! We cant believe you’re no longer here……your loss is profound and feels like it doesn’t make sense but I know even if your time was short, it had meaning and you made an impact on the world sweetheart. May you rest easy and in peace, out of pain and in pure love. Love you so much. We’ll miss you always.

Ricky, I miss you so much. My mind can not comprehend the fact that you're really gone. I feel so much guilt and shame for leaving Vegas. You begged me not to leave, and I really wish that I listened. You have no idea how it tore me apart to leave, but I thought that I was doing the right thing for myself. I was scared of the way we were living and I thought that the only way I could get sober was by leaving the state. But my problems followed me and things are so much worse here. I've been waiting for you to get out of jail for so long, it hurts me so badly that after you were released, I only got to talk to you a handful of times. I wish i just hopped on a flight to Vegas and saved you. 
  I remember when you saved Mars and Nyo's lives. You were always trying to take care of everyone around you and it breaks my heart that we weren't able to do the same for you. You have this golden energy, just being in your presence would bring this sense of peace and happiness. I think that selfish people saw that within you and they fed off of it. That's one thing that I despise about humanity, that most people only look for what you can do for them. But you weren't like that. You cared about everyone. 

  im so tired, ricky. im so fucking sorry. i promise you i will make it to your service no matter what I need to do. 
Also, I want to write you something better, something more profound. I will leave more messages here for you soon. 
I love you so much. I know that you're at peace now, I can feel it.

Ricky’s smile could light up a room and it came with a special twinkle in his eyes, especially when he was smiling from teasing his sister and girl cousins!  At one point, he was even nicknamed “Pinchy Ricky” because of the pinches he gave those he loved on their arms or cheeks. His beautiful, dark curly hair gave him a mysterious aura, yet all who knew him know he was so kind and loving to his family and friends. He will be missed more than words can say, a life lost too young. We are comforted knowing he’s at peace and send condolences and love to his parents, sister and all who loved him.
