Ric was born on April 4, 1960 in Henderson, NV to Jackie Lee and Laura Dorene McCutcheon. He graduated as a talented student athlete from Rancho High School in North Las Vegas in 1978. In the years shortly after, he began a career in masonry, leading to many years running his own successful masonry business. He loved to create and problem-solve, but more importantly, he loved to work hard for the things he earned in life, a legacy he leaves with all who knew him. He was married to Cheryl Lynn Frischknecht on May 21, 2005, often saying it was the best thing he ever did.
Ric’s greatest joy in life was his family, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and serving others in his LDS church congregation and community. He loved to watch his kids’ sporting events and the youth he had worked with for many years in church. He went about his life with a smile on his face, quietly doing good for others.
Ric will be greatly missed by his wife Cheryl; his six children Haley (Chase) McCormick, Chase (Aimee) McCutcheon, Daryn Frischknecht, Chance McCutcheon, Blake Frischknecht, and Kade Frischknecht; his two grandchildren; and his siblings Tina Ignatowicz, David McCutcheon, and Gerry McCutcheon.
Visitations will take place on Friday, October 14th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday, October 15th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the LDS Chapel located at 5750 N. Cimarron 89149. Funeral service will then follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Palm Mortuary 6701 N. Jones Blvd. 89131.
