Robert Wilmot Blakely

Funeral services and burial will occur at 11am on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta, GA.

Arrangements are through Mayes-Ward-Dobbins Funeral home in Marietta GA.

Bob was born in Wichita, KS to William Robert Blakely and Wilmot Westbrook Blakely on May 22, 1939. He attended Marietta High School before going on to graduate from Auburn University. He married Alice Beverlin Cohran on August 24, 1963, in Paulding County GA. He served in the Air Force as an air traffic controller and as part of the Second Mobile Communications Group. After his military service, he worked in the aviation industry as a consultant. He enjoyed being a pilot and flying small aircraft. Additionally, Bob served as a Deacon in the Newnan Presbyterian Church.

Bob is preceded in death by William Robert Blakely (father), Wilmot Westbrook Blakely (mother), and Daryl Warren Blakely (son).

Bob is survived by Alice Beverlin Blakely (nee Cohran) (wife), David Alexander Blakely (son), and Warren William Blakely (brother).

Memorials may be given, in Bob’s honor, to the Alzheimer's Association.
