Robert Boyd McPherson

Robert Boyd McPherson, a retired supervisor at the Veteran’s Administration in Washington, DC, passed away peacefully at home on August 17, 2016 at the age of 92. He was born in Knoxville, TN on June 21, 1924. He lived and raised his family in Hyattsville, MD and retired to Las Vegas, NV in 1989. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion and a member of the Moose, and was a World War II veteran in the US Army who had received the Victory Medal during that time. Robert (Bob) is survived by his wife and best friend of 62 years, Marjorie McPherson; his two children, Susan Cherry (David) of Bradenton, FL and Kenneth McPherson of Laurel, MD; six grandchildren, Adam Cherry (Kristina) of Winter Garden, FL, Andrew Cherry (Carly) of Morristown, NJ, Caroline, Anna, Ryan, and Reagan McPherson all of Laurel, MD. There will be a Graveside Service held on Wednesday, August 24th at 10:40 AM at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005. Arrangements under the direction of Palm South Jones Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
