Mr. Bob was an icon in our Talaverde community.  He called us his "kids" and in his own unique "grumpy" but caring way,  he shows love and care for his neighbors. It was always a treat when we see him out and about getting mails or just bringing his dogs to the park. His famous words to us each time we part ways was, "Gotta go, see you tomorrow!" Mr. Bob will be missed and it has been an honor having him in our community.

I met Bob in 1982 as a young buyer in Chatsworth, I was 30 and he 40., I was tasked with finding a supplier to build a rather large industrial housing for a major program for us as we were a small manufacturer and a lot depended on delivery ,

 Bob was pivotal  to our success and he delivered on time with top quality, very much impressed our management.

This was  the start of a long relationship both professionally and personally . We would go fishing in his bass boat or to the races . Sometimes go to the Vegas house just to watch a game or to the strip, he did love to " Run a hundred" thru a slot or two.

He spoke of his family often  with great pride , was meticulous in every way, especially about his cars.

I will truly miss our calls to just say hi , God bless you Bob and your family ,

Bob was always great when he and Dr. Ned and I went to lunch together, unspooling vivid stories about his youth and adventures growing up.

I saw him most mornings down at the neighborhood park, taking his dogs out for a constitutional.  We ended up talking for 30 or 40 minutes, with me keeping our crazed basenjis at a respectful distance from his older, slower, better-mannered dogs.

We'll miss you Bob.  Thanks for the wonderful memories.

I met Bob 12 years ago when we became neighbors and then friends.
He is a special guy (it feels inaccurate to use the past tense) and I'll always remember the many lunches with Bob and Steve Hulett.
No topic was off limits and Bob had an opinion on every one.  I know you're still here, Bob, but I'll miss the visual.  Bob was an original resident of Talaverde and bought his house while they were still building it in 2004.  Thanks for some great years, Bob, and I'll be seeing you around.

Ya know I don't what to say. I'll always remember Las Vegas mornings with you and Grandma, you waking up with your hair all wild and you messing about with your bracelets.  

Bet Grandma and everyone love having you home.

Hoping not too long winded but here it goes…… Hanging out on the boat at Casitas, Castaic, Peru and Lake Mead….I’m not a fisherman, probably only caught a couple fish total in all the years… but listening to stories about Bob growing up, racing cars, meeting Jo and all the stories of their lives together, the kids, living in Point, learning the metal industry, Texas, moving to Chatsworth and so many hundreds more, that it made it worth every trip……Hours and hours of just talking and hanging out together…. I’m not a bracket racer either, but so many days at the track with Bob and so many more memories…. many of them are of him laughing as he brought home another trophy..”it’s all about reaction time”. For many years, Thursdays were dinner at Bob and Joann’s and so many weekends were sitting on the front porch just talking and laughing and of course watching Bob rinse and dry his cars as Cassie would try to help…. Trips to vegas……playing AC/DC as loud as the speakers could handle….damn, him singing along with Bon Scott, just having a ball…..The luckiest slot player I’ve ever met…I would just shake my head in disbelief as he won multiple jackpots in a single day…I didn’t believe it until I saw repeat over and over…. There are so many memories but the blessing is that they each were so special that they feel like each one was just yesterday,,,and thankfully-they always will. I love you Bob.
